The main reason Rogan annoys me is that he wrongly tells fighters what style of striking they need to use to be effective in the cage.

Gono was pretty pissed, and rightly so.

Nuthuggery aside, he's still one of the more knowledgeable commentators.

Goldberg is really the problem. I think he's make pretty much anyone sound horrible, and I love how he seems to think "AND IT IS ALLLLLLL OVERR!!" is his awesome catchphrase or something when really it's more annoying than a Chiek Kongo interview.

    They're not bad.

Besides the giant face of Rogan next to my LSD and DMT altar.

If that's not awesome. I don't know what is.

As a fan of Rogan's stand up I can't possibly hate him doing commentary. I pray for a day though Joe and Bas both do commentary for a show.

I just almost spit water all over my monitor and keyboard. I am currently wearing my Dennis Miller Zone hat. Can you see me or something?

I love Mr. Miller's pragmatic approach to everything but to my knowledge, he has no knowledge or interest in any combat sports. He does need to get another Color job for the NFL though.

Michael Savage does go to MMA events with his son every once in awhile. He also yells and screams about anything, whether he is an expert or not. He would be intertaining to listen to for a round or two...but not much more than that.

Make a pair of any combination of the following and you have a winning comentator team:

Rogan, Rampage, Bas, Griffin, Nick Diaz (specially if he's high)... and Joey Karate.

Read this for flexibility and injury prevention, this, this and this for supplementation, this on grip conditioning, and this on staph. New: On strenght standards, relationships and structural balance. Shoulder problems? Read this.

My crapuous vlog and my blog of training, stuff and crap. NEW: Me, Mrs. Macho and our newborn baby.

New To Weight Training? Get the StrongLifts 5x5 program and Rippetoe's "Starting Strength, 2nd Ed". Wanna build muscle/gain weight? Check this article. My review on Tactical Nutrition here.

The street argument is retarded. BJJ is so much overkill for the street that its ridiculous. Unless you're the idiot that picks a fight with the high school wrestling team, barring knife or gun play, the opponent shouldn't make it past double leg + ground and pound - Osiris

I'm okay with Rogan, it's Goldberg I could do without.
I was surprisingly not-annoyed with Florians' commentary in Montreal this weekend.

In addition to fighting, I also watch Formula 1 racing; one of the on-air talent made a remark a few years ago to the effect of: If you think this job is easy, I challenge you to to keep a running commentary for the duration of a race without repeating yourself, with no dead air and as few screwups as humanly possible. Do it now, turn the sound off and try it for 5 minutes.

I discovered I'm not cut out to be a commentator.

That said, I'd love to see/hear Rogan and Rutten but I think I'd miss out on a lot of things because I'd be laughing so hard.

Randy, while very knowledgable, has the wrong voice-type for commentary. I'm not sure if was one punch to the throat too many or what but it can be difficult to hear him at times.

Any time I get tired of Rogan and Doucheberg, I go back and re-watch UFC1 with Wallace and Brown talking over Kathy Long when she (most likely) had more actual fight experience than both of them combined.
