My only previous knowledge of Vanuk comes from Black Belt mag. articles, which always seem to come off bad no matter who the martial artist is, and some BS artist from Colorado that was on here a couple months ago who claimed Vanuk as one of his instructors.
That will learn me not to jump to conclusions. -

He never supplied proof of any connection. I think at the most he may have gone to a seminar or two at the most.

That's probably the author of the articles fault and not Vanuk claiming to have created the concepts
Good to hear that he is "on the up and up" as they say. He is a name that I hear alot from people who aren't overly familiar with FMAs, him and Inosanto, so it's nice to know that he's a good rep. of the art. -

I have very limited experience in Kali outside JKD, so I couldn't tell you more. My teachers, and Vunak as far as Ilve seen, always give rep to the origin of what it is they're doing. "This comes to us from Kali", "now you can use your pak sao", " use the savate kick", etc...
What I think the confusion may be about is how Paul has built PFS, especially the concept of destructions, defanging the snake, etc. -

I agree, I think it may be stemming from that. The last article I read about Vanuk was about "his" new concept of defanging the snake. I'm sure it comes more from a writer who has little experience with Kali, so to the writer it seemed like something Vanuk came up with.
