One thing I noticed about this mod is that it takes a long time to aim at a target with a rifle, which is kind of a "gamey" element left over from the original SWAT 4. It's kind of unrealistic for a highly trained marksman, IMO.
I suppose you could interpret that as being representative of how your accuracy supposedly goes in the shitter during a real combat situation due to stress, but using a SMG or a pistol even aiming is a lot faster. I guess I could see that with a SMG but with a pistol is kind of unrealistic. It also probably exists to make it harder to defeat the scenarios through pure gameplay skill, and to force you to rely more on tactical aids and solid tactics.
Some "realism" mods for SWAT 4 have basically made aiming a lot faster for rifles. I guess the modders felt the same way about the length of time to fully aim a rifle.“nobody shoots anybody in the face unless you’re a hit man or a video gamer.” - Jack Thompson
