Leg attacks always scare the **** out of me. Probably because I don't know few people over 30 who have not had major knee surgery around here. I love combat sports, but I want to be able to walk down stairs at a reasonable pace.

From what I've seen the amount of pressure it takes to tap someone with a kneebar varies far more drastically than that of the armbar from person to person. Perhaps he just badly underestimated the strength of the guys leg and wanted to make sure he had the grip tight enough to get the tap?
