Yes, you have nothing to prove but, that is how this website works. Here I'll runddown what has happened and maybe it will help you understand.

1) There is a thread with a Monk who was actaully a troll job.
2) We had a teacher that turned out to be entire troll job.
3) We have had students claim they were said instructor.
4) We have had competing instructors bad mouth their competition.
5) We have had teachers lie about their ranks and experience.
6) We have had people claim false military credentials.
7) We have had fake professional fighters.
8) We have had to have our resident lawyer attend cases for libel.
9) We have had students issue challenge for their instructors.



This is why people are questioning if it is you or not.

What do I have to lie about? I am not trying to get any of you to come to my classes, I could care less... I have more than enough business. In fact, I need to retire from police work so I can do all the classes that people want me to do.

It's not personal. The internet is an anonymous media and people have come here before claiming to be someone they are not, so very few members here take any claim of identity at face value. I don't see anything wrong or "bullshido" about you, but if you start participating in discussions on one of the sub-forums where serious talk takes places expect that people may want more specifics about your background (as in who you trained with, what rank you achieved and when).

As for the question of why would you lie about being who you're saying you are, well there are a lot of bored mischievous people out there who do a lot of crazy things. If you've been in law enforcement for a long as you say, then you've probably seen first hand how people can do stupid things for little or no good reason. The questions aren't personal just cautionary.

Oh, and there is a firearms and self-defense sub-forum that you may find interesting with your background in firearms training :happy11:

I hardly have time to reply here, but I guess I just got sucked in... I didn't think that little ole me would draw 5 pages of discussion.. Hahaha... If I have time, I will check out the firearms stuff.. Thanks to all of you that have given me a warm "welcome", and maybe I should check back more often than once every year... ;-)

I'm not trying to sell myself here, in fact, I tried to keep my name off of the internet as I had no desire to become famous (unlike quite a few people I know).

And I am actually teaching a course currently.... As I am sitting here typing, one of my co-instructors (Damon Gilbert) is teaching right now as I type. So I don't have a bunch of time. Well, take care and be safe.

I prefer that officers try to avoid bullets not stop them. Oh and don't call me until next week as you will only get my voice mail because I am 300 miles north of my phone right now.

I can teach you plenty about bullets as I am a departmental Rangemaster, and have done 19 years on SWAT teams also. If you have valid questions about fiearms, I can probably answer them for you also...
