BTW....on that note, I've trained with enough people that have, to say the least, have an over exaggerated sense of self. It didn't mean I didn't learn anything from them.

One thing I learned in the Corps was that you can learn from anybody, even if all you take away is an example of what not to do.
I'm not giving you my opinion, I'm telling you how it is.
Can't decide which evil black rifle to buy? My thoughts.

Well, its on his MySpace page at the link I posted along with the claim that you're his "heir apparent" - which would imply a rather close relationship. You seem genuine and I think we've moved on from the aggressive tone used at the beginning of the thread. People have accepted that you are who you say you are and nobody is interested in attacking you anymore.

Frank Dux on the other hand is another subject entirely. The reason people are asking you questions about him is because the main purpose of this site is to sort out the bullshit in the martial arts, you happen to know Dux personally, and he has certainly been responsible for spreading quite a bit of bullshit.

Yes, but there's a difference between an exaggerated sense of self and plain out lying about your experience. For example Tony Blauer has an exaggerated sense of self (to say the least) but he doesn't lie about what he's done or who he's taught.

Personally I don't even care about Dux's technical capabilities, what I care about is whether the guy claimed service and awards he didn't earn and then went on to profit from it, because if he did then he's stepped on the backs of the many people who have served, shed blood and lost their lives and to me that makes him lower then pond scum.

I always wondered how Dux set all those records listed in Bloodsport. Fastest kick to a knockout, apprx. 72mph, wasn't that before the speed gun era.....

    Seconded.

Sadly, I have the scars to show for it.

Even sadder: I was trying not to block with my face...

It would be fair to ask Brent if he agrees with Frank that he is Frank's heir apparant and what does that exactly mean?

For the record, I've never met anyone who was a purple belt or higher in BJJ who thought that BJJ was anything more than one-third (standing-clinch-ground) of what you need to know in an unarmed street fight.

I know those there are fools out there who believe that BJJ is the ultimate MA, I'm just lucky in that I've never met anyone with high rank in the art who bought into that crap.

    Welcome to Bullshido Mr. Ambrose.
