Seriously, I like the look of some of the TapOut shirts and have thought of getting one. (Mostly I have refrained due to the ridiculous price.) Would it make me a poser to wear one? I mean, I think the TapOut crew are kinda idiots, but they do support and promote the sport. I train and am a fan. How would it be any worse for me to wear TapOut than for a football fan to where a Seahawks T-shirt?

Wearing gear does not a poser make.

Wearing it to go to the bar to watch UFC, that's another story.

Although I might just start doing that with my UFC FIGHT CLUB shirt for shits and giggles

Wearing a red UFC hoodie around the gym (the "health club" type of gym) but never working out at all, THAT'S another story.

The street argument is retarded. BJJ is so much overkill for the street that its ridiculous. Unless you're the idiot that picks a fight with the high school wrestling team, barring knife or gun play, the opponent shouldn't make it past double leg + ground and pound - Osiris

I usually don't like mma shirts because of the whole "skullz and deth" theme, but some of the One More Round shirts are kind of cool. The ones without skulls and grim reapers.

    No worse, equally lame.
Combat sports seem to be the only sports where people take issue with it though.

I don't give a **** what people do or do not wear, but there is a fundamental difference between a sports team shirt/jersey and a TapouT or Affliction shirt.

When I rock my Arsenal Jersey with the *Fabregas* across the back, I am expressing love for the team I support and one of my favorite players.

But when someone dons the TapouT garb, what exactly are they supporting? MMA in general? It comes across as trying to look hard. If one looks at this from a strictly analytical standpoint, wearing a TapouT shirt is much gayer than wearing a football (soccer) jersey.

So if you go to a football game to support your favorite football team would you not wear a shirt/jersey that reflects your affiliation?

    My affiliation?
When I've gone to games I've gotten drunk and eaten shitty food while hanging out with friends.

I've little concern for the actual teams.
