    They recommend NEVER to go to failure on stuff like, power clean and other "olympic" style lifts, even deadlifts are not recommended to be taken to failure by some,

    Try using a hook grip on your deadlifts and PC's it should stop you rom having to use straps for the first few sets. One the original question Goodmornings are designed to work your hamstrings more then your lower back, if done properly.
