Shorinkan Karate has organized and planned it's curriculum for the development of Black Belts in Okinawan Shorin-Ryu Shorinkan Karate and Okinawan Kobudo (Traditional Okinawan Weaponry.)

Shorinkan Karate Academy places emphasis on tradition, loyalty, self-discipline, integrity, respect, self-confidence and self-defense.

The foundation of Shorinkan Karate is set forth by the President of the Okinawan Shorin-Ryu ShorinKan Karate-do Kyokai Hanshi JuDan Shugoro Nakazato.
Our Black Belt Instructors combined, provide over 40 years of teaching experience and are dedicated to the daily achievement of excellence in their own training and personal development.

Shorinkan Karate Academy is dedicated to achieving it's dojo goals:

Would you please tell me why you think you're a 9 on aliveness and a 10 on weapons?

Sensei is a high energy, charismatic instructor- he really believes in what he is doing and he does not go light or easy. If you are to block, than you had better block becuase otherwise you are going to get hit. Aliveness is that he believes that you should train like you fight and fight like you train- yes there is Kata which is traditional, but when it comes to Kumite or Bunkai- it is hard and it is fast.

Weapons- check out the weapons page on the school site- it's pretty extensive. Also, when was the last time you actually did Bo in the sand and surf of the ocean?
