    Well, his teacher taught him TKD to start out with, then when he was older the same guy taught him a vietnamese lineage of chinese 5 animal kung fu.

    Back when I was in college I knew a Vietnamese fellow who had studied something that was very similar to kungfu but which had Vietnamese culturla origins or components.
