    Bill Wallace...Jealous Much?

This months Black Belt Magazine has an article in it by Bill "Superfoot" Wallace. Now we all know that in his day he was the r34l d34l. No one is arguing that.
Yet , his latest piece makes him sound somewhat jealous that his fame is gone and the new breed on Martial Arts is here...MMA.

Here are some excerpts from the article...

Yeah because Kickboxing isnt a MA right Bill?

Yep, Chuck Lidell is broke, I hope Randy is doing okay money wise too. We all know that nobody ever got knocked out in KB right Bill? If they did then that means they dont know what they are doing. Maybe thats how you won so many fights....the guys you KO'ed didnt know what they were doing.
I like how he says "bout" instead of "fight".

You can say that again Billy Boy....wrestling isnt a martial art.....right?....right?

Study their punching techniques and you'll see what I mean. Often they look like they're bottom fisting a bag instead of throwing jabs, crosses, hooks, and uppercuts.
Those soccer moms at the Seminars sure know what they are talking about dont they? MMA guys never train, or condition their bodies. Any weekend TKDoer can outlast them in a real fight right?
Sloppy punches...man, its a wonder that they ever knock anybody out isnt it Bill? Remember...they talk tough and then get knocked out? If their technique is so sloppy how does that ever happen?
The we have the bottom fisting....I sure hope he doesnt mean what I think he means. I have some fisting porn around here somewhere. None with bottoms in it though. Feel free to post it if you have it. Just do it in LLL.

Maybe the boxers spend to much time training jabs, crosses, hooks, and uppercuts.

Here he wraps things up for us morons in the room.

Maybe because people realise that they are being fleeced? Maybe Bill needs the money to train?

MMA is no good outside the ring. I wish I had known that before I wasted my time cross training.
At least TKD regulates my stress level right Bill? LOL

Change did come Bill. Its called MMA.

There's no choice but to confront you, to engage you, to erase you. I've gone to great lengths to expand my threshold of pain. I will use my mistakes against you. There's no other choice.

What a tool. ...From someone who fought in FCR. ...Which, today, is about the weakest form/ruleset of kickboxing extant.

My word Bill is a hypocrite. Last time I saw in OK he was talking about how great the UFC was for MA. Very disapointing.

Maybe he's going senile, I dunno.

The street argument is retarded. BJJ is so much overkill for the street that its ridiculous. Unless you're the idiot that picks a fight with the high school wrestling team, barring knife or gun play, the opponent shouldn't make it past double leg + ground and pound - Osiris

I read the Bill Wallace article, too, and I was very disappointed. I always liked "Superfoot" and thought he was onpoint on what he talked about. Now, he seems way out of touch and bitter. The great ones go with change, not, cling to outdated ideas that no longer work. Bummer.

I think its the realization that most of his achievements in MA are looked at as somewhat irrelevant given the new paradigm.

No, there isnt a link. Sorry. I wish there was.
I can scan the article and then post it , or just type the whole thing out. I hit the majority of it.

If you get the chance to go by a bookstore the article is on page 60. Its this months "Full Contact" column and is titled "Does MMA have a future?" Wallace writes the column each month.

Bill Wallace started hating on the UFC right after he finished announcing UFC 1. People think he started writing anti-UFC articles for BB the night he got home.

From what I've read, Wallace was supposed to fight in the first UFC. I think he realized that getting his ass kicked would be bad for his business.
