I trained there for a bit; after a while (anywhere from 2-6 months depending on how quick you pick things up) you get invited to sparring on Friday nights at 9pm. There are a couple of hard hitters there but it is mixed in with a lot of bogu gear.

If you read the site, it looks like the Fang Sheng fist thing is something the master of that school made up. It has 3 different levels and after completing each one you'll be able to "handle" certain people.
After completing the Beginner Course, you'll be able to "handle" an average person, after the Intermediate, An experienced martial artist; and then finally after the Advanced course a top line martial artist.....

The Institute of Chinese Martial Arts offers courses in all forms of chinese martial arts. Proctered by a former officer, and an energy master from Beijing.
Feng Sheng Fist is a military combat system used by guards of the forbidden city. It is a combination of fighting and rejuvenation. Training is forward and direct, spent with a partner, hitting targets and heavy bags, speed training and weight training. There are also energy exercises and plenty of lecturing. Feng Sheng improves any martial art with strength of powerful speed increasing full force of movement's posture.
Feng Sheng Fist has a deep great history that continues. Training with the masters are conducted in Chinese with interpreters on site.

Welcome to bullshido.
That is a nice blurb but, the whole point is proof of lineage. You say the Feng Sheng Fist was used in the forbidden city. Well, give people some sources, not word of mouth, where we can investigate the claim.
