    Hell yeah! Hell no!

Hacky Sack: seems to be a pretty good workout.

I've recently started to try the good ol footbag, and damn, it seems to be a rather good quality workout, moreso than I ever expected.

Anyone else Hack or agree/disagree with it?

I am happy about it because it gets me sweating and I actually enjoy it, so maybe it'll help me out! Am I breaking a sweat cause I am overweight/bad at it?

    Opinions Please.

Every day at lunchtime in high school (all 4 years) me and my friends would play hackysack. Needless to say we got pretty good at it from so much playing and by the end of senior year we would work up a hell of a sweat. I wish more people around me played it, I miss that ****

A little FYI: hacky sack was originally developed as a knee rehab exercise.

And here I thought it was developed by a bunch of stoned hippies with nothing else to do!

    Interesting tidbit.

It's tough for me at this point.

It seems that it'd help with coordination and some flexibility. But damn dude, it is beating the **** out of me right now!

Too bad the only people that hack are in some of my college classes, the term is over next week. Hopefully they have the same classes as I do next term! Haha.

I don't think I've hacked since sometime back in the '90s.

It's fun if you actually play with people who know what they're doing (like soccer players). Otherwise, it's a constant cycle of someone kicking the hack and the hack hitting the ground.

I enjoy it even if it's not in the air for long. Just getting that couple hits in seems fun for us. Gotta learn sometime eh?

Another thing it helps with is flexibility. I was never more flexible than when I played hackeysack.

I thought it was originally developed for soccer players to learn passing and ball control skills? My TKD instructor and I use to play all the time. We could keep it going for a little while but there was always some hippy who could keep the bag to himself for minutes at a time and make us look clumsy in the process. Teach and I would then proceed to serve high so the other one could hit the ball out of the air with a spinning or flying kick. If the hippies were gonna ruin our fun, we'd ruin theirs.

A little bit of advice to anyone who plays, espicially with wild kickers like we were; keep your fists clenched, I saw a guy in a game I wasn't in get his pinky dislocated by a kick.

Hacky sack rocks! Its cardio and highly specific movements with footwork, kicks, knees, head butts, rhythm and alive responsiveness! As long as people dont hurt themselves then its an f-ing great warm-up!
