Interesting. Let's see what J-Lau once said on the subject:

They're both right. J-Lau, even if he beats Florian, has to beat some other legit contenders before a title match is reasonable.
Griffin, Edgar and Huerta are all above him in contention.
He also should face Fisher since they've got a blood feud.

While I'd like to see J-Lau win, this is actually a step down for Florian based purely on standings.

Not even if it would pay the rest of your school tuition + afford you the ability to sample Spitzer-quality whores? I'd do that for ya :male:

I don't think I could fight a friend/fellow student very easily.... I could, however, destroy a friend and his band in a contest or battle of the bands/guitar licks contest without any remorse (or at least try).

The career has to, at some point, count more that the individual friendship in many fields. The phd competes for tenure, racecar drivers do the dang thang, bands gig on the same night, fighters beat the crap out of each other...I mean....if that's your specialty, I'd hope that it were something fighters could bring themselves to do.

and LOLZ to the spitzer joke, KF, you high grade slut, of the forum world.
can we get a "woman of the night" tag for KF???

I have personally crushed my friends in fights before and have no problems with it. And by fights I mean chess matches, but MIND YOU, they are NO LESS BRUTAL than any unsanctioned cage-fighting match. The dangerous world of illegal underground street chess is not for the timid...

I could fight a friend or training partner pretty easily. What would concern me wouldn't be the fight itself, but the logistics of training - do you continue training at the same place? Do you train at the same times? Does your coach help each of you gameplan for the other? This is a potentially messy situation.

Yes, especially since, I'm assuming, BJ IS the coach. I think it's easier to fight people from the same place...you know what they're not good at.
