Still on the 70 option, the guy suggested August or September, and also said that it would most likely be a Wednesday or Thursday, as Fridays tend to be fully booked by other clubs. Any takers, or alternately, other venue options?

A place in South Kensington: I think the guy may have recently signed up here as Meerkat, but not sure.

If so, it will be amidst a Sea of Culture :read2: especially for our American cousins.

Moreover, the venue would be discrete (and discreet) with little chance of interlopers. And it has a Bar attached.:5cool:

Allow me to tease. Yes, I know Meerkat and he's a BJJ Blue.

As they say in Ethiopia, "Abyssinia".

Ok all i have another prospective venue that might be available, one of the guys i train with (not meerkat tho altho i do train with him :) who also does thai boxing and he has asked at his thai club. Apparently its a fully matted out area with boxing ring and bags, Its in Edgware postcode is HA8 8TG if anyone wants to check out the location. basically its near the A1 with good links from M25.
The cost is 5 per person and thats all day, i havent asked whether there is a minimum tho (it was his dad who passed the details on at training tonight, the actual guy (his son) was at thai so i will speak to him on monday) or if slidey or someone wants ill pm the contact details for the club (name and no of contact) and they can arrange it. I got to be honest and say i am a lazy mo fo so i wont be organising it but i will be turning up, oh and i think its available weekends and apparently one guy from the club will be present to ensure no one wrecks the equipment.

Fully matted and 5 per person for all day would be awesome, depending on availability, venue size etc. Looks like its not too far from Edgware station (a little over a mile, according to Google), which would be relatively convenient.

I'm happy to email people, but I hate phones. Though presumably if you personally know the guy, that's easiest?

Well the guy i know trains there, I mentioned the throwdown and he loves the idea and said he would ask at his thai club, then tonight his dad who i also train bjj with came in with the details and the gym owners/coaches name and contact number and he described the place to me.

His son ( the guy who actually trains there) will be at class on monday so i can ask him further details but as i say i have the gym owners contact info so it would be easier if we (read: someone else ;) ) contact him directly rather that pissing about through my m8.

The place is called Nomads thai boxing gym but i dont have a web address or email just the phone no

    Ed tit: pm sent
