You're wrong. Chonnan was kicking Silva's ass the whole time.
He would have won sub or no sub.

People seem to look at Silva's recent performance and the last few seconds of the chonnan fight and make assumptions, as opposed to, you know, actually watching the fight.

Director: OK, Anderson we're going to go over some Ving Tzun anti-grappling techniques. He is going to vigorously defend his center line. Anderson? Could you please stop laughing? Come on, just take this seriously. No, you can't use any roundhouse kicks to his thigh. What? Yes, I saw what you did to Chris Leben.
Now, his chi sao training will give him the sensitivity to "feel" your attack. Yes, Anderson, you have to touch his hand before you attack. I don't know why! It doesn't matter that nobody really fights like that. Just work with me.
You attempt a take down and your opponent is going to hit you with 10 chain punches as a counter attack. Stop laughing!! What? Yes, I saw what you did to Nate Marquardt. No, he wasn't able to hit you 10 times in a row. But Marquardt doesn't know Ving Tzun!! Now both of you are laughing!!!
