I honestly think this is going to be a night of good fights but with few finishes. I hope I'm not correct but many of these fighters are great fighters who don't finish very well. At least we'll get a show from Houston Alexander though! Picking Maynard is my kind of "out there" pick this round; I really don't like Edgar and find him kind of boring. Maynard has decent KO power and had an exciting fight against Siver in his last fight, whereas Edgar likes taking people down and laying on them. While that is probably what will occur, I have hope that Maynard makes something happen.

Edgar/Griffin was not exciting because of Edgar, and Bocek is being fed to a TUF winner because he's pretty much a LW can. The Fisher fight is a great example of what happens when Edgar realizes he's outmatched standing, which wasn't the case in the Bocek or Griffin fights. I think we're going to see the same Edgar we saw in the Fisher fight, not the other one.

The Fisher fight was a great example of what happens when a GnP guy repeatedly takes down someone who's only intrested in replacing guard and holding on to wait for a standup.

    Wait...
Is someone actually saying something negative about the edgar-fisher fight?

WTF, that was a dominant performance and he made Fisher look like an amateur. Most certainly not l-n-p.

Did you see the Evans fight? Did you? You really, legitimately want this guy in the UFC? He is a wrestler who barely tried to punch the other guy in the face even when he got him down.

As for Edgar-Fisher I felt that there were a ton of oppurtunities that Edgar just refused to take out of respect for Fisher's game. While I understand that some caution needs to be taken in MMA, the way that match went just made it seem like it was lasting two and a half years. I've only watched it twice but I don't remember any sort of guard passes, movement, or attempts to do anything that didn't involve just taking Fisher down. Fisher didn't do a whole lot either, which honestly was a solid half of the problem. But no, I didn't like the Fisher-Edgar fight.

You're fucking crazy; Edgar passed his guard like twelve times in that fight. Fisher reguarded pretty well but never did anything else.

Fair enough, I haven't seen that fight in a while now, I just remember wanting to leave the bar the first time when it was on from the boredom. And that's from someone who generally really enjoys solid groundwork.
