I think the stoppage in Joe's fight was fine. He was under mount and it didn't look like he was going to get out. The Karo stoppage was a bit fast, IMHO. He did crumple, but there have been more than one recoveries from a knockdown like that. The next couple of seconds would have told the tale. Not complaining... I picked Thiago.

I recall reading an interview of a UFC ref. (maybe Steve M.) where he confirmed that they usually do take that into account when stopping. Karo would normally get a bit more time than some first-timer. I think the ref was standing behind him and it might have looked worse from that angle.
