I've read my post a few times and typed "dominate" after hitting ctrl+F and can't seem to find dominate anywhere in my post.

    Strange.

I wasn't referring to your post. I was referring to Neildo's. Then again that ************ is such an idiot that I should have just ignored it. Whatever. It's friday.

Lauzon had a couple of near heelhooks that looked pretty dangerous, but the rest of the match was all Florian.

Especially the part where he pummeled Lauzon from mount for I-dont-know-how-many minutes.

I think Joe did really well in the first round. Anyone seen his blog yet?

I think the stoppage in Joe's fight was fine. He was under mount and it didn't look like he was going to get out. The Karo stoppage was a bit fast, IMHO. He did crumple, but there have been more than one recoveries from a knockdown like that. The next couple of seconds would have told the tale. Not complaining... I picked Thiago.

Lauzon stoppage was fine, Joe wasn't hurt yet, but he clearly wasn't getting out from under Kenny's MOUNT OF DOOM anytime this year.

I agree, the Karo stoppage was a little quick. Karo is a tough guy with a great deal of experience, he might have gotten out of that jam.

I recall reading an interview of a UFC ref. (maybe Steve M.) where he confirmed that they usually do take that into account when stopping. Karo would normally get a bit more time than some first-timer. I think the ref was standing behind him and it might have looked worse from that angle.

Karo was in the fetal position with his arms straight out in front of him eating punches to the side of the head; that stoppage was perfectly justified.

I think all of the stoppages were fair, but I think the Florain fight could have gone either way.
