UFC owner is newly minted billionaire

I was checking out the new world's richest ppl rank at Forbes and guess who I found...one of owner of UFC (not Dana White, he only owns about 10% of Zuffa). It's one of the Fertitta brothers!

Didnt he take a $40 million risk? So he's supposed to take that risk and give away the profit?

Fighters wear enough brand garbage ... sponsors should be paying them the big money.

UFC doesnt give numbers but it's estimated to be worth north of $100 million so we do not know how much there is in profit, if any (Im sure there is) but they have to get their $40 mill back. The rest of his billions is casino money.

Zuffa never cared about keeping their dollars seperate when they basically laundered money from zuffa to a third Fertitta owned company to xyience and back to zuffa again...just to make it seem like they had great sponsorship from xyience...and to try to keep xyience afloat...their big "sponsor".

He's made his 40 million back. In fact, zuffa took out a 340 million dollar loan last year. You don't get that without good capital. Time to give a little to the guys whose backs the $$$ was/is made on. Most of those fighters don't make jack in sponsorship (not much more than their measly purses anyway). In fact xyience, one of the big fighter "sponsors" defaulted on much of the $$ they owed fighters.

After the revolution, we will change it to be the "Ultimate Fighters Collective". Beltholders will hold the belt on behalf of the workers and not actually own it anymore. More weight classes and extra points for being oppressed.

I'm not sure that Xyience is that involved with the finances of the UFC. I actually met one of their VPs a few years back when they were soliciting investors. Still have his card around here somewhere.
