Pro fighters changing their game for success

I remembered watching him come to the ring with (what I thought) was a black belt in his first fight. I'm colour blind and dark colours often look the same to me unless I pay special attention, rewatching the video, I see that the belt he was wearing is blue. I stand corrected.

hmm... not sure if I can agree with that, but I assume that you're more knowledgable on the subject, so I'll rephrase:

A clear example of a fighter evolving that springs to my mind would be Bas Rutten. He was an awesome striker, who got submitted and as a result trained and subsequently overcame a glaring hole in his skillset.

Better?

GSP was already a good wrestler and a BJJ black belt when he started MMA. He just got better. Dumb post.

GSP said, during that interview that was posted on the forums , that he does not have a black belt in bjj yet. Dumb post.

He has worn a black belt into the ring but I am pretty sure it was his Kyokushin black belt..

I would find that impossible to believe. I don't think he had a wrestling background (he didn't wrestle in high school or college) before MMA, but when he started training for MMA, he started training in wrestling. There are a couple of wrestling clubs/teams out east that train with MMAists on a regular basis and I'm pretty sure he'd been to a few seminars at the very least by the time he fought. Not saying he didn't start with Kyokushin.

Contrary to popular belief, I don't read every post on the forum, and as I already posted I SAW HIM WEARING ONE AND HAD TO REWATCH THE FUCKING FOOTAGE BECAUSE I'M COLOUR BLIND YOU DOUCHEBAG.

On the other hand, he is one of the best fighters in history and can justifiably give himself a black belt in Awesome and wear whatever gi he wants with it.
