    What language is that??? :icon_eek:
Read this for flexibility and injury prevention, this, this and this for supplementation, this on grip conditioning, and this on staph. New: On strenght standards, relationships and structural balance. Shoulder problems? Read this.

My crapuous vlog and my blog of training, stuff and crap. NEW: Me, Mrs. Macho and our newborn baby.

New To Weight Training? Get the StrongLifts 5x5 program and Rippetoe's "Starting Strength, 2nd Ed". Wanna build muscle/gain weight? Check this article. My review on Tactical Nutrition here.

The street argument is retarded. BJJ is so much overkill for the street that its ridiculous. Unless you're the idiot that picks a fight with the high school wrestling team, barring knife or gun play, the opponent shouldn't make it past double leg + ground and pound - Osiris

Who would I rather have my back in an alley altercation? Glock! or really any superior weapon that I could bear upon my opponent(s). Why go toe to toe, when winning will do just fine.

The Jim Carey video was funny, and like you said hits the mark, and many folks get fooled unfortunately.

The Ashida Kim video is ridiculous. I don't like him anyway, but inept for any swordsmanship, and who was the person who couldn't stand on his own?

The list of safety equipment could be narrowed down considerably by what level a person is fighting. Obviously, you wouldn't have to get all that stuff for your first lesson - unless of course you own a supply shop, then it should be mandatory that everyone buy from you.

The thread says "I hate newbies" for a reason:

Proper equipment. If you seriously want to train no matter what level you are you're going to need the proper equipment.
So if you don't know if you're going to be serious then no, you don't need all that equipment. If you do want to train serious then yes, you will need all that equipment.

    Dammit, what's with the advice?

Can't you just let people go and hurt themselves?

in some cases, this is the right thing to do.

Why would he do that? That just means he cant beat them as much when they come to a TD...

This is all Omega trying to get more people who can come fight him. You know it, I know it, everyone knows it.

There's quantity and there's quantity. Why waste time on those who get selected out on Darwinian principles?
