These are basically what I got I got them in XXL so they wouldn't be too tight, just not hanging loose. They were also on sale at the time and I think I paid about $12- each.

Oh yeah - just been skimming thorugh this thread again...
This is just a little something I've noticed recently......
It's a point I'd like to share...especially for those who are only just starting to get into a MA/MMA.
I've seen younger people in training smash into focus pads as hard as they can....
watching in dismay as they smash into it with an unhealty bend in the wrist... (with hooks and upper cuts especially)
then complain that their wrists really seem to hurt at the end of the class....
It's at this point, I sigh and look down at my own hands...
And at the hand wraps that I got for £1.50.
Irony is, I only got them to help reduce the chance of my thumbs getting fucked over even more than they are now (I wrap in such a way as to ensure the chance of the thumb getting bent back by accident is greatly reduced), but I have noticed they are also good for reducing the possible wrist joint dammage that shitty hand positioning can make to a punch...
because of course, crappy punching is something I've never done...
*looks around in a shifty manner - stares at own feet seriously avoiding any form of eye contact whatsoever - confidence visibly withering somewhat under the scutiny of peers*

The Real sad thing is, it's wasn't anything to do with MA that ruined them...

Needless to say, I totally screwed the timing up and got both of my thumbs bent back too far... they've never really been the same since. -

This past Saturday made me realize that I must ALWAYS wear a cup. I invited a TKDer and a wrestler to spar at open gym at my old mma gym, and the wrestler didn't bring a cup because he's retarded. We were doing mma sparring with headgear, little gloves (non-sparring type), and shin pads. I wound up for a roundhouse to his ribs with my leading leg and it connected, hard, probably the hardest I have ever kicked anyone, and it hit is but but also hit his balls (hard to explain), and he was down for the count. But now that I think about it, a cup would not have helped the pain. But still:
WEAR YOUR FUCKING CUPS! -
