I know it looks like I'm being hypocritical not wearing head gear in this video but do you see the mirrors and steel beams?

I think training without headgear and going slightly lighter may be a good method. The fighters I've seen that do this have been very successful.

I was 24 years old when I found out I had no bone in my nose. I fell on my face and everybody ran around trying to find ice and made sure I didn't bleed on the wooden floor I just face planted on. I was like "don't worry about it it's not bleeding" and I smashed my nose down and rubbing the pain out. One kid threw up.

No I've never ran into any problems, I don't snore, I don't have breathing problems, I should be an x-man.

Um, shin, elbow, hammerfist. Basically anything not the front of a 14-16oz glove.
While headgear is mainly for lacerations, it also helps absorb some of the impact speed so that your brain doesn't play pinball inside your head as much.

Oh, on the cups though, man I'm a believer. Ever had someone knee-through guard pass and you're NOT wearing a cup? Me either. Or go for the inside leg kick and, oops a bit, even with a cup I'm feeling like visiting one of the puke buckets.

And, I don't like my boys next to any other boys.

My cup betrayed me last night, it moved up over the sack as I went to sink the hooks in, which I did, and guillotined my nutsack with the cup. Argh. I still got the RNC, but **** did that suck.

But the headgear has no padding at the back. Isn't the back of your head much more likely to hit steel beams and ****?

Dude, that's awesome. And you can always say **** like "the nose knows, tough guy".

In a ring and especially in a cage, less likely to hit your head on a foreign object.

Your headgear has no padding in the back? Padding on the side also helps too.

It was 90 degree weather outside that's what's up with that.
