I have looked into the USA KBA - cannot find anything about them at all. No listing with DBA in Houston area or surrounding counties. The only thing I was able to locate on him was that he taught at preschools doing a "karate class" to 4 year olds. Does not have a location anywhere in Texas.
Any insite from anyone?
My big question - how can anyone be a 39 time World Champion and not be known in the industry??? -

WORLD champ???
I don't know how many times the guy fought or where he is today, but I saw him fight in paris back around the turn of the century. '01 probably. he didn't have 39 fights at the time. it was under 10, but it's been a long time ago and I don't remember. blonde guy, fought middleweight I think. he was pretty thin. the guys beat the mess out of each other but Doyle won on points at the end. good fight as I remember. the only reason I really remember it was that he was with a really hot chick. way out of his league. haha as far as usakba goes, I think they went out of business because of money issues. they weren't paying the fighters after they won, so someone bought them out. don't remember who. they only had like 7 or 8 really good fighters.

I have no idea if this is the same person, never met him, and know nothing about him, but Erik Paulson is doing a seminar in Houston the weekend of Nov. 8th (one week before the Couture/Lesnar fight) and the contact person to register is Curt Doyle. I cant say if it's the same person, but a 2dn guy with the same name involved in martial arts in Houston, would be a big coincidence.

A good first step would be documenting the "claims" part. Where did he make these claims? Advertising, print, the internet or orally? You seem to already have come to the conclusion that he's a "crook and a sham". Based on what you have posted so far that's seriously jumping the gun.

Have you asked the guy yourself?
Could this be the organization you are referring to?
