If you want an art where you actually punch people and they punch you back then the chun is not even on the list, at least for most schools. There are a very few that test their skills and a couple of them post here. As a former chunner I never saw it. There is a group in england that even compete in amature MMA events but the majority of the chun community bitches at them that they doing the real chun rather than saying wow, we could do that.
I like BJJ because you can spar hard almost every class without fear of serious injury.
There is a saying you hear a lot around here. You fight like you train. So if you train like a little ***** you will fight like a little *****.
If you decide to do the chun check out the school beforehand and ask the instructor if they teach the r34l wing chun.
But you could poll 10,000 chun practitioners and they would pretty much all tell you they do teh r34l chun. Apart from the ones who are crosstraining maybe
