    San Shou in Canada

I'm sorry if this has been asked a million times but does anybody know of really good San Shou/San Da schools in Canada? Preferably in the Ontario/Ottawa region. Thanks in advance.

Does it have to be San Shou/Da? Ottawa has some fine MMA schools that teach Muay Thai. There's been at least one thread on those schools already.

I can't think of anyone I've seen at tournaments from that area...

Thanks everybody. I know sometimes kung-fu schools have San Da but don't really show it in their curriculum. I do like mma and muay thai, I just would rather San Da as a first pick.

Good choice, but never forget the ground. The mighty grooooound. Obviously not crucial in san da but will be very important in other good formats.

San Da plus judo (that do ground) and you cant go wrong.

Yeah the damn ground!!(lol) I have been doing a JKD concept system for three years and I recently started to train BJJ. I really want to learn San Da but I don't think there is any schools in my area. ( 6 hours away driving!) Anyway I'm still looking into wrestling, Judo and muay-thai at my academy. Thanks for your input.

    Winnipeg San Da

What city do you live in? I train primarily Sanshou, and my club: Winnipeg San Da, is as far as I know, the only club in Canada affiliated with New York San Da (run by Dave Ross) I can vouch for the club's legitimacy, we train with a former member of the Sri Lankan Olympic team, among others.

    (edit)
Oh, I just saw the dates, I apologize for bumping this.
