    My Hanmudo teacher called it a "45 degree roundhouse" and advocated that it be used in sparring to fake people out with.

    The one in the clips at the beginning of the thread...I believe you said it was an inverted axe kick? I don't believe it is a standard move in Hanmudo (at least, it wasn't one of the 12 kicks we had to demo for the white to yellow test) but he taught it during one of the Saturday sparring classes.

    Must not be the same move then...this one you chambered your leg like a front kick then whipped your foot around for a roundhouse. In which case my contribution to this discussion is meaningless babble and I shall excuse myself.

    A "Brazilian kick" is not merely faking a front kick and then throwing a round. It comes at a downward angle.
