2008 ASA Sambo Training Camps

do you know which worlds he won? What year? FIAS, FILA? Not too many Americans have done that (with FIAS)...very few in fact. I would have thought I would have heard of him.

Where does he coach?

I see O'Grady also trained with Mark Tripp in Detroit (at least according to his FCF record). He apparently won the combat sambo gold and the sambo bronze at the Oleg Taktarov Cup (under Yakimov) in Switzerlad (with my buddy Chris Herzog who also trained under Yakimov and Tripp). That is very good! But, sorry to say, it is not a world championship. Not that winning that event is anything to sneeze at. That is a big international open event.

So in my uneducated viewpoint I've always looked at Sambo like BJJ without pants. And with kneepads and wrestling shoes.

So what's a kurtka? And what's the story behind the whole getup? Uniform?
