    Hell yeah! Hell no!

    Pavlik v. Taylor 2

No thread on this yet? Damn! Where's fatherdog?

This is a NON-TITLE (wtf?) rematch of one of the best boxing fights in a long while.

That Steward will be commentating and not in taylors corner is all I needed to hear.

    Pavlik TKO in 10.

Steward is largely regarded as one of the main reasons Taylor wasn't properly conditioned in the last fight.

I don't follow boxing as closely as I used to, but I hadn't heard that before. What's the thinking behind that? I mean if he could get klitschko into good shape...

I don't understand why they think that 166 won't benefit Pavlik as well as Taylor. This has the makings of another great fight if Taylor has gotten his drive back and can put or use the loss to his advantage. Pavlik has got the confidence and the power. I'm going with Pavlik in 9 but I almost want to see him lose to set up a kick ass rubber match.

Apparently they just couldn't connect with one another at all. I'm surprised that it took them that long to figure it out given that the fights he where he was with Manny leading up Pavlik were lackluster at best and dissapointing at the worst (although, he did win them).

One thing in particular I read was that Steward never had Taylor spar more than 6 rounds. Guess which round Pavlik KO'ed him in?

Also, bear in mind I live in Arkansas so most of the local sports media I read is going to give the benefit of the doubt to JT, him being our local golden boy and all.

It was in the newspaper, whatever that's worth. Also, Steward left camp quite a bit to do the HBO show.

I do think that Pavlik will win again unless Taylor's got his straight right working. If Taylor comes out throwing that stupid looping hook, he'll lose again. So, I think he probably lose again.

If I were in Taylor's camp I'd be more worried about him keeping his left hand low then anything else.

Usually the winner of the first fight wins the rematch as well. I think Pavlik will win again.

When Bernard Hopkins was preparing for his rematch with Taylor he said he was going to change everything about how he fought. Then he did everything the same way he had in the first fight. I expect Taylor to do the same.
