From Cro Cop's Wiki article:
On Feb 12, 2008, Filipović, who had a right to terminate the contract with UFC, announced to visit Japan on his blog. With the foundation of the new MMA event, 'DREAM', co-established by FEG running K-1 Hero's and the former Yarennoka! organizing committee members which had managed PRIDE FC, Filipović officiates ending his career in UFC and the participation into the new event. After movement to the new organization, his first opponent in the first event of DREAM which is held on Mar 15, 2008, is not officially announced.
Can't seem to find any details other than the wiki article, there's links to a Japanese site I can't understand:
And his own blog which is very vague and doesn't give details:

Wouldn't surprise me though. At least we won't have to deal with people saying "Cro Cop is god and would own the entire UFC heavyweight division" anymore.

I never watched a lot of Cro Cop and his UFC performance hasnt impressed me. I hope he fights someone good in DREAM. He should fight that 9ft tall asian guy Fedor fought.

Is Mirko fed up with Octagon tactics, elbows, mandatory drug testing, and Dana White... or is he just pulling a bitch move so he can beat up tomato cans overseas and avoid the stiff competition he was facing in the UFC?
Next up for Cro Cop in Japan... a rematch with Dos Caras Jr.!

Accordingly to several web sites and a couple of photos, Mirko HAS LEFF THE BUILDING! By that I mean that he left the UFC and has signed with DREAM, a new mma promotion created out of the ashes of Pride members, K-1 people and others(maybe the Yakuza?). Thats is confirmed info...the main question is...did he walked out or did they scort him out of the building?
There are several rumors of pay cuts and trash talking with Dana, but at the end of the day we just gained another reason for a mma web war between the guys that support the guy for not putting up with Dana's bullshit and the guys that feel like he pussied out of a stiff competition and just couldn't handle the heat.

I am a huge Mirko fan and I feel sorry for not seeing any of his talent shine in the octagon in any of his 3 fights! I personally think he should have ended his stint in the UFC with a couple of trashings of high profile fighters in the heavyweight division. Just to shut up the guys that will, from now on, badmouth him for not holding his own on the "uber dangerous and competitive" Heavyweight division of the UFC and going back to Japan "where the competition is easier"!
At the end a fighter has got to do what a fighter has got to do, but we the fans will never stop listening about the ***** that left! (humm, *****,,)

That's all we need, splitting heavyweight talent between even more organizations.
That's Crocop's happy face.

My point is.. He makes an ass out of randy because he says Randy needs to man up and live up to his contract, as both sides agreed to the terms and signed the deal..
Yet when it came time to honor Mirko's contract he did the oposit and told Mikro either accept a lower payement then we originally agreed upon or you are benched.
I am not a Dana basher but this sounds mighty hypocritical to me.

yeah this **** is depressing. Not only is this really tarnishing his legacy, but if he's a success overseas, it's really going to put a damper on the credibility of those orgs, and those he fights.
