I'm a bit dissapointed with this. Whatever the pay, whatever his dislike for cage tactics, Mirko should have done his best to shine in the UFC if he was indeed a top-tier MMA HW.
If he goes to shine somewhere else, then we are forced to conclude that some of the PRIDE roids allegations may actually be true.

I still think Cro Cop shoulda dropped down to light heavy. Then again, considering how stacked the LHW division is compared to the HW division in the UFC, I don't think Dana would have let him (to keep things "balanced out," as it were). Then again, maybe Dana could have found it in his heart to let Mirko fight smaller heavyweights like Brandon Vera.
Of course, we all know that Dana White possesses nothing that could be interpreted by mortal minds as a "heart." Rather, Dana's corporeal husk is powered by a veritable SPITE ENGINE, its supernatural components lubricated by piss, vinegar, and bubbling pitch. -

I had read somewhere, I think on youtube in a discription of a CC video that he was only able to breath like 30% of his natural oxygen intake through his nose thus putting a damper on his UFC performances, he was getting oddly tired in there. Supposedly he has had a surgery to reverse the affects that were cause by having his nose broken several times, and now is supposed ti be back and better than ever.
Like I said I read it in a discription of a vid on YT, I think it is Cro Cop is back or somthing like that. I'll look it up real quick, and post the LINK that way you can see the discription I am reffering to. -

Actually from what ive read on sherdog, someone posted an article with Dana saying that he would actually let cro-cop keep fighting in the UFC if he were to return.
could be bullshit but it's hope....
