Any tips for an in-fighter
Hey, so i've been sparring .. more like 2x classes 5-6x 3x min rounds.. and i realized that i'm an in-fighter with a peek-a-boo guard, one of my friends told me that with a peek-a-boo guard i'm a bull fighter, and i end up taking so many hits, he said he's an different type of in-fighter (more elusive) but he's in the army and i'm not going to see him for another year so does anybody have any tips for me? thanks in advance
Spar. Nature should take its course.
If talent were acid, I would be 32 teeth and a belt buckle.
Oh, advice? Slip some punches. Evasion comes easier with experience, not really much advice that we could give you that I'm sure you haven't heard from your trainer. Such as use your range; if you are taller, keep them outside with front kicks, side kicks and jabs, if you are smaller.... uuh ask someone else.
In which of your numerous styles do you practice this in fighting with a peekaboo guard?
I'm guessing it is san-da but if you are all covered up like that in san-da aren't you constantly getting thrown on your head?
Thats what I would do. :bully:

Honestly how experienced are you? When I read your first post I can't tell if you are saying that you have sparred a TOTAL of 2 days or if you spar 2 days a week for an undetermined amount of time.
If the answer is you have sparred a total of 30-35 minutes you don't know **** about your personal style yet and suddenly deciding you are a certain kind of fighter is insane.
This is more of an answer than a real "solution." Drill some comboes that end up with you on the inside. Maybe.
Jab, low inside roundhouse, step in while hooking, and viola ready for body shots.
Why do we keep strikestan? 90% of answers are "spar" and the other 10% consist of "search function, n00b." There really doesn't seem like a need for new threads in this section.

Sumus extra manum tuam.
yeah what White shark said, also do you use kicks? Cause you should be using them to set up combo's and coming in on different angles not just straight in.
But listen to White Shark he knows
Watch Hajime no Ippo religiously.
I tried to take your post srsly, but that's really all I could think about.
