If talent were acid, I would be 32 teeth and a belt buckle.
Oh, advice? Slip some punches. Evasion comes easier with experience, not really much advice that we could give you that I'm sure you haven't heard from your trainer. Such as use your range; if you are taller, keep them outside with front kicks, side kicks and jabs, if you are smaller.... uuh ask someone else. -

i'm a small guy.. as well like 5'5 145 lbs, i'm still light on my feet and i move in and out alot, but everytime i move in i eat alot of combos, we practice just boxing sometimes and we mix it up with the san-da.. so keep sparring eh? i fear i'll get brain dmg soon .__.

Honestly how experienced are you? When I read your first post I can't tell if you are saying that you have sparred a TOTAL of 2 days or if you spar 2 days a week for an undetermined amount of time.
If the answer is you have sparred a total of 30-35 minutes you don't know **** about your personal style yet and suddenly deciding you are a certain kind of fighter is insane. -
My pleasure.

This is more of an answer than a real "solution." Drill some comboes that end up with you on the inside. Maybe.
Jab, low inside roundhouse, step in while hooking, and viola ready for body shots.
edit.
Why do we keep strikestan? 90% of answers are "spar" and the other 10% consist of "search function, n00b." There really doesn't seem like a need for new threads in this section.Last edited by mrblackmagic; 2/12/2008 10:12am at .
