    Fight Quest: Hapkido

What rules were they fighting by in the end fights. All the fancy kicks looked good during practice were not to usefull during matches.

'Unified Lesbian Horse Stories' is a good rule set. Not quite as free as I would like, but not quite as restrictive as some.

It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be and when they were practicing I was impressed with some of their kicking abilities.
It seemed like they practiced a lot of wrists throws but I didn't see this when they were sparring. Also, they had their feet wrapped in weird wraps.
Do you hit with your feet in hapkido (ouch) or the shin?

I was surprised by the lack of headkicks in the fight. I thought that would be a focus considering the ruleset and the way they train, but it looked like they were a lot more concerned with takedowns. Seems to me that any decent wrestler could beat them at their own game.

This about sums up my opinion on it. It was an alright episode.

But in the end, I got more excitment out of the 30-second BJJ sneak peek then I did the whole Hapkido episode.

Wow I thought I wanted to do Hapkido.. I'm glad there were no real schools in my area for me to spend money on.

I won't even comment on the techniques themselves.. but I'll say this. If someone can train in a style for 5 days and whip a black belt (who also happens to be a pro boxer) of one of the most prestigious schools in the country, that says a lot. Both of the person AND the style.

Haha but these guys had some pretty decent English, which is surprising. They definitely memorized those lines for the camera.

Oh, and the palm reader WAS a psychic. Wow!
