I don't know anything about this mcdojo stuff.....

I train at ATTPSL and it is the real deal.

Before I chose ATT in St Lucie West (in Florida), I went to multiple martial arts schools in the area. I watched how the classes were conducted and what was being taught.

This was done with my children (who were interested in starting martial arts training) tagging along. The only school that met our criteria was ATT in Port St Lucie.

So, being new to this thread, I can vouch for the training at Din's school.

There are multiple UFC fighters that train here. On any given week, you may be surprised by who is training there.

Certification in MMA or any other discipline should be based on ability.

I know that nothing is given to any student here, ever.....

I would hope that as far as business goes, that strict standards would be applied to any business course/certification.

Anyway, ATT is one of the best schools for actual combat sport training.

I just wanted to express that.

Yeah, apparently the whole idea of ATT to branch out into this system was created by the future Governor of Nebraska Christopher N. Geary. He also came up with the idea of the UFC gyms so every swinging dick can say they train mma. <----sarcasm

Obviously they dont teach you to read. This isnt about the ATT schools. Read the fucking thread before you post in it, especially since its over a year old.

How do you certify someone in MMA? Is there a program for it? Yeah there is, and thats the whole purpose of this thread.

Anyone who takes MMA from someone who has never had a documented fight is a chump. If Mr Ketsugo Jujitsu BB can't win any fights after a few hours with ATT, then **** him. If he can then... maybe. The points about being able to teach the material are well taken.

I can think of a very well known SanDa gym that is run by someone who never won a fight. He has good fighters, but they are imports. Someday I will call Bullshido, but not today.

ATTPSL is a real ATT school. The issue is with having joe blow's taekwondo take a 3 day seminar and being "certified" to teach ATT curriculum. We haven't seen much of how this has played out. There haven't been any reviews of schools with this program that I've seen.

Eh. There are plenty of good football coaches who were ass football players, and the same is true of a lot of sports.

In fact, ATTPSL is Din Thomas' school. Din is one of the toughest and most knowledgeable MMA fighters on the entire ATT Fight Team. I'm talking about the ENTIRE fight team.

So, just to be completely clear. ATTPSL is not an "ATT Certified" school. ATTPSL is a direct Coconut Creek affiliate whose head instructor is Din Thomas. The subject matter of this thread has nothing to do with ATTPSL, or any other DIRECT Coconut Creek ATT affiliate.
