Pls comment wrt to:
1) Its aliveness factor.
2) How would this compare to ChrisH's resistive sparring clip?
3) How would this compare to ChrisH's resistive weapon retention clip?
note that it is an exercise, and not sparring, however to answer your 3 questions...
1 not alive at all... none of the ukes really tried to do anything... just limp dick up there and let him do some psuedo magical moves... no one REALLY attacked or was thrown or disarmed...
2. really about the same IMO as ChrisH's stuff... both lack a sense of authenticity, although ChrisH's does have more resistance
3 to elaborate on #2... no hitting, or taking the weapon and using it on your attacker (or even trying any of these) takes any type of aliveness out of this practice
as an exercise or demonstration it my have some value, but don't confuse it with alive resistant training or sparring... it isn't even close...
