RBSD god admits need for "UFC style skills"

W. Hock Hochiem, crazy Texan extrodinaire, admits that "Law enforcement needs to train modified, UFC style skills." To be fair Hoch does advocate alive training and groundfighting (including weapons), even if he is amazingly paranoid. Too bad the only way to get those "UFC style skills" is hard practice with a variety of partners. A weekend "Self defense tactics" seminar ain't gonna cut it.

Watch about 26 seconds in, this DWI guy just grounds and pounds the cop. Hock used it as an example of why MMA is a necissary part of "reality based self defense."

If I was that deputy on the ground, I would be pissed that my fellow officer's help consisted of "HEY! Back up."

Maybe we decided to enjoy more MMA and take a break on our quest to battle bullshido wherever it may be. Or maybe it's just a mistake and will be corrected soon.
