I'm a little confused. Did Mir win by kneebar or heel hook?

I thought Sylvia was dynamic and pretty active in the fight. He was unintimdated by Nog and was hunting him down and I really think that Nog had to tap a wellspring most of us lack to up his game in the third like he did. It was a pretty damn worthy main event fight.

In fact...I'd actually like to see lesner vs sylvia. Sylvia haters get to see him take on someone of equal bulk if not height and lesner gets the dogshit pounded out of him standing up, everybody gets the bread and/or circus of their choice.
So Nog could take Sylvia down, but Lesnar couldn't?

I think Brocks got a good attitude for this game, i think with abit more sub defense he could really do much better. I was quite pleased with Sylvia, he was actually putting on a fight rather than a borefest. I thought he had it in the bag. But he was completely outclassed on the ground, which is why I guess he worked so hard on takedown defense.

Roll on anderson silva vs henderson!

Kneebar, you must be a white belt.

Very much so. He put on a great showing in the cage and his post fight interview showed him to be a down to earth and eager fighter. We will see him fight again.

Lesnar vs Silivia would be awesome, especially if Silivia dies.

when he first grabbed the leg he went for a heel hook, but brock turned and tried to pull out leaving him set up for the kneebar.

Yes, and for the record I feel Nogueira didn't go to jump guard (I've watched the tape 5 times now). I believe he was going for this:

    with a leg assist.

Yeah, I really hope Brock trains hard to develop his skills on the ground. If he does, he'll be a huge threat and that's good for the HW division. Still, I do wonder about his striking. I hope he fights someone who can keep the fight on their feet for a bit so we get a better idea about where his striking lies.

It looked like a Plan B half-guard sweep to me.

edit: dling it now. I'll put up an animated .gif or something of the sweep so we can all look at it.

I yelled out: "That isn't pulling guard"

I just think it is terminalogy the average fan understands.
