I agree, I think that should have been a warning, not a standup. I never heard/saw a warning before the deduction, did anyone else?

Mir was in a lot of trouble at that point, and even though he got taken down again immediately I think it changed the fight a little at least.
I couldn't tell, because the fucking stream was lagging.

I didn't see who the ref was, but I seem to remember there's one guy that is always giving warnings when the guy on the bottom keeps turning away. I haven't seen a point deducted for that in forever though.
I give mir all the credit, but at that point he wasn't even GOING for subs. He was turtling and trying not to get knocked out. Lesnar didn't have side control did he? But it was at least pretty effective side control and Mir was getting pummeled. I guess it's my Brock bias coming through.
Btw, did u guys see Kurt Angle and Stone Cold ringside? It was like a WWE show. I mean, when the ref stood them up, Stone Cold couldn't have distracted the ref, so Angle could toss Lesnar his ringside chair for the KO? Then Angle and Stone Cold share some nice Steveweisers/Mickeys fine malt liquor in the ring. IT'S DAMN TRUE! WOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
When I was watching through stream, it froze right before the match started. Then I refresh it. Then it starts showing Mir's interview about his win. I was so pissed... but atleat Mir won.
And that guillotine by Almeida was just pure win.

It was a good stop for the blow to the back of the head, but a point shouldn't have been deducted IMO. I don't think it would have made a difference. When Mir went down right before he finished it he looked the same as when he got taken down before the standup. He had his hands covering his face and was working out what to do. I think the result would have been the same if it had been left on the ground, though maybe by armbar instead of...

This wouldn't be the first time Steve Mazzagatti deducted a point without giving any warning. in the Frank Shamrock/Phil Baroni fight, Shamrock started ground-and-pounding Baroni in the first round and landed one or two hammerfists to the back of Baroni's head on accident; Mazzagatti immediately stopped the action after seeing it and deducted a point from Shamrock, no warnings.
I guess some refs are more strict about accidental rabbit punches than others...

I was so happy to see Nog chocke the **** out of Sylvia. When it finally happened it was like watching Voldemort finally get slaughtered. How do you lose a fight like that after knocking the man half unconscious? See that's what you get for being a lazy, unagressive, counterpunching bitch.

Actually Sylvia was the most agrresive I have seen him and he did follow up on Nog. But Nog is Nog.
Also even though he lost Brock impressed me, he's a beast.
Good for Mir to take a beating keep his composure and get the sub.
but give Brock another year and a few more fights. YIKES!!!
