Hard luck man, use it to learn not to rely on one technique (leg kicks) and to make improvements in other areas (boxing).

Way to go Bob, you won the event even though you lost the fight.

Regardless of how badly you may have fought, you won a moral victory for representing Team Flying Teabag. Excellent work, and hopefully your next teabagging goes better.

I feel like I need to start competing now just so I can support Team Flying Teabag.
It's all about the clinch. The clinch, I said.

Good **** on taking the plunge bobby.
And having all that **** switched up last minute is pretty par for the course with certain promoters. Took balls to fight anyway and not bitch and whine before and after about anything.
Go placidly amid the noise and haste,
and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible, without surrender,
be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly;
and listen to others,
even to the dull and ignorant;
they too have their story.
-excerpt of the poem called "Desiderata," by Max Ehrman, 1927.

Congrats on stepping up! You'll do better when they give the right rules- it sounds like you show up to play tennis and someone says- no, badminton! You probably did the best you could, especially since it's your first match.

I played years of soccer, so when I go into automatic mode, I kick very much...the harder we go..the more I kick the legs.
I knew I needed serious handwork..but it was hard for them to find me a noob for a thai bout in time...and I wasn't going to miss it. I sang and played 10 hours of music the day before, to have the money for the trip...such is life. When does anything go all the way right??? "Niemalds fur mich, das ist die Geschichte minus Lebens".
BJJ might make you a better ground fighter, but Judo will make you a better dancer.
