    **** that. Crushing young bucks is the only reason I keep my ego around these days. I live for that look of comic disbelief when they realize all that strength and speed are not all they need.

    Afterwards, I complain quietly about my aches and pains to the other old men.

    Johnny, I get about two or three black eyes a year. It's never been a problem. Then again I own my own business and work in construction.

    There are three male models, two actors and a dancer at my gym. They all spar, with the occasional exception when it would cost him/her money to miss a few days of a shoot/event. Half a dozen suit-wearing Wall Streeters, too.

    As for my own marks, the co-workers always ask, but never seem too bent about the answers:

    Feh. I'm still stronger and faster than most of the kids, but I have to train a bit less to keep my joints and tendons happy, and I heal slower than I used to do. It is what it is.
