GSP plans to one day win MW and LHW titles
After the Serra fight, St. Pierre's long-term plan gets only more ambitious.
"He wants to leave a legacy," Spenser said. "He wants to be the most dominant fighter the UFC and MMA has ever seen, and he intends to accomplish that by dominating the 170-pound weight class, moving up to the 185 weight class and then eventually the light heavyweight class."
That's a pretty daunting goal, but Spenser thinks if anyone can do it, Georges has shown that he's the one. "If he does that," she said, "I don't think there's a doubt that he will be the best fighter to ever have graced the sport."
Middleweight I can see. He's a very big welter-. But LHW? He's gonna be competing against guys who are essentially borderline heavyweights.
Sounds like he's gonna have one or two more fights at welter after he beats Serra and then tackle Silva or Henderson. Either way it'll be awesome to watch.

LHW is a stretch in the near future, but at 5'10", he could fit 205 on his frame. I assume he'd still give up 10-20 lbs walking weight to most of his competition, but that wouldn't make him that different than Randy Couture fighting at HW, but way more skilled. Given his relative youth at 26 years old, he has plenty of time to gradually build up muscle mass to compete at 205.
And the thought of St. Pierre vs. Anderson Silva at 185 is f'n wicked, too.

Yeah, LHW is probably a bit much. I mean Forrest Griffin walks around at like 235-240, and TOWERS over GSP. The division is stacked with guys like or close to that with a ton of skill.

At 5'10", he's only a half inch shorter than Henderson.
Being competitive at LHW is not outside the realm of possibility.Undisputed KING OF ASSHOLES.

The way I understand, he does just fine against Rashad Evans and Jardine, so while the high end of LHW competition might give him some trouble(Rampage and Chuck especially), I could see him getting in some wins.
Of course, he'll have to get through Hendo and Silva first(I have no doubt he'd mow through Franklin)

Both GSP vs Machida and GSP vs Anderson Silva is grounds for an MMAgasm.

Also if memory serves correct BJ Penn had similar goals (reg. conquering other weight classes).
A 185 pound GSP would be fucking scary. While not extremely tall he's not exactly a midget at 5'10.
EDIT: Ok...middleweight is one thing, but LHW might be a bit much.
