I'd also like to point out that this kick is almost completely worthless. It generates very little power, and is not very quickly executed. It's only advantage is that it is sometimes unexpected. Still, most people can eat that kick and then proceed to break your face with a real kick.

One more thing. If you have to learn this for a test, or something, do it. Otherwise, it's not worth spending lots of effort on. It's just not that good a technique.

Actually, that kick can be executed very quickly as the motion is almost exactly like a front snap kick. And its advantage is misdirection. It comes at an odd angle from the "wrong" side.

Remember, rotation of the leg is always in the hips, rather than the knee. That is, you rotate the foot outward by rotating the entire leg outward from the hip- the knee and the toes always point the same direction.

You need 'Korean' hips to execute this kick comfortably ;)

Looks a bit ridiculous to me... I suppose it could catch an opponent off guard, but it doesn't seem to have great range either. Plus, it seems to put your knee at a very dangerous angle.

You can very easy execute it to ones knee.

The kick does require a bit of flexibility.
