    Mellow MA

Yeah, I just registered on Saturday, I'm wondering, where no a days is the combat based/hardcore traditional stuff?

The only combat based stuff I see nowadays is either MMA or reality based.

I see many karate is mostly just focusing on kata.
At least in kyokushin we do full-contact sparring.

Also, is Korea the only place to find 100% TKD? I checked out TKD in our area and it's about 100 bucks a month for a daycare like class.

You've got to ask yourself what kind of personality is a certain martial art 1. Likely to attract and 2. Likely to retain. People who gravitate towards TMAs tend to be fantasist comic books geeks, and the training is watered down so they will stay. It sounds like you've got a karate school you're happy with, so why not stick with it?

I guess you and me both as washintonians understand this.
