Ratel Judo Training Center
The GYM is a small school working on experimental Jujitsu, by introducing Sambo, BJJ, Kurash,Freestyle Wrestling and African Wrestling systems. The format is relaxed and fun alive environment.
I think that you should go back and expand this review to AT LEAST 3 paragraphs. Try to include a few sentences about each of the scoring criteria.
Also, I think we'd all like to hear a little more about "experimental Jujitsu."
"experimental Jujitsu" I have a second Dan in Goshin Ryu Jujitsu and have trained in Hisardut, Aikijutsu, Aikido, Silat , Free style wrestling, Kuresh and currently doing BJJ and Greco Roman wrestling. So experimental jujitsu is about finding away of blending all those experiences into an effective wrestling style and moving it to MMA. This means that we do a lot of competitions in order to cut through all the bull and come up with something that works.
So the school teaches:
BJJ - Who instructs? What rank is he/she? Under who?
Sambo - Who instructs? What Rank? Under Who?
Wrestling (Freestyle/Greco) - Who teaches? Where did he compete? What level? High School/College? What NCAA Div? All American? All Conference? All State?
African Wrestling Systems - Ummmm...what?
Do you guys compete? Where? How do you do?
Your school has judo in the name but you don't list judo as being taught, why?
First things first the Gym is in South Africa so you probably will have no idea who I am talking about. I'll give you information you can look up though.
The school teaches Kodokan Judo under Sensei Mickey Davidow ( look him up). It is called the "Judo Training Center"
The experimental jujitsu class is an additional grappling class. The instructors who contribute to our learning are:
Nathan Raaths of Quantum Tribe under Roberto Attala's Rio grappling club
Sambo - Igor Zubryuski Russian expatriate not sure what rank, but was ex military.
Wrestling - Sameul Mendel former Springbok wrestler ( SA national team)
African folk wrestling systems like Libande, Nuba and Laamb there is enough enformation on the net on these.
This was a training group and we compete in Judo and Traditional Jujitsu we have been doing well in these events. This year we are entering Submission wrestling tournaments e.g The Carlos Gracie Africa Cup, Two Oceans Jujitsu tournament and others.
Hope this helps
Thanks Rabid, that'll help.
