    Hell yeah! Hell no!

    I just don't believe it

So first MMA lesson back after Xmas, thinking of training hard for my first kickboxing match at the ripe old age of 33 in March, I've started running for the first time, reallypushing myself to get in shape, teaching myself to skip/jump rope properly, got my wife into it running with me. Basically I am revving up to have a couple of ring fights before I get too old. I just want the experience and to say I've done it.

So anyways 15 mins into the warmup and we're practicing double leg takedowns, I do one "yeah good" do another one, pick myself up and think "ah **** I've done it again I've sprained one of my fingers" . I'm always doing it, finger gets bruised and stiff not a problem hurts a bit, tape it to the next finger and it's cool. But this time I look at my little finger and it's pointing in a direction it's never pointed before. Everyone around me is like "oh **** that's not right". Yeah I know it's just a little finger, it hurt less then when someone landed the most jammy shot in a 100 years and cracked my floating rib with a front leg hook kick and about equal to get backicked in the crutch by the largest bloke at my gym (yes I should have been wearing a box but I wasn't and essentially I got a 14 stone stamp on my cock). Go to hospital nice doctor pulls it back into place send me for an x-ray and tells me I've fractured it as well.

But I just don't fucking believe it, 1st MMA lesson back, 2 boxing and kickboxing lessons in and essentially I'm fucked for a month, no fight, I'll be thirty fucking four before my first fight at this rate.

Apologies for rant and bad typing. I'm drinking vodka and pills to get over pain and typing with one hand.

I broke my finger/hand in july and I still can't make a fist. Good luck. I assume it is a non-displaced bone fracture?
There is no cheating, there is only jiu-jitsu.

You still might be able to compete in grappling, if your gym does that sort of thing?

I fractured my fat toe early october. The pain did not stop until mid december. Also, it wont bend too much anymore. Doc says it will always be like that from now on.
