A boxer (My ex roommate) totally gave me that load of ****. "OMG ur k33ping up wiff meh u must do t3h b0xing!!!11".

When we sparred (hands only) he was definitely more creative with his hands and he hit me more. However his footwork didn't phase me ::that:: much and though I hit him fewer times I hit him much harder and more accurately on average. He was really good at breaking up my combos too while I like to just absorb damage to the body and take it on the forehead.

He was a golden glove winner in his division two years in a row but he had to give up boxing because he was concussed twice and the docs said he could no longer compete. He was probbaly way past his prime as a boxer.

"Do you think Royce was familiar with every style he faced in the first couple UFC's? "

Oh hell yes, the opponents were hand picked. And, they trained against various kickboxing types all the time.

If you notice, they aren't exactly invincible now.

    D,

"Well , Sung System I can speak on ,"

Yue Fei - general of the southern Sung Dynasty was the founder of XY. Is this the Sung system you speak of?

You could say this about any style.
I think it depends on whether or not you have the same type of style, i.e. striking vs. striking. As long as you don't limit your techniques(no low kicks mean you will be unprepared for them) you should be fine.

Do you guys ever stop? Every style that was put in front of Royce was beaten. Even the STREET FIGHTER idiots on here like to bring up with the broken glass on the floor et al.

They aren't exactly invincible now? WHY? Because Jiu Jitsu, it's concepts and fighting strategies have been integrated.

If not for the Gracies, idiot's would still be doing their silly horse stances and calling what they do fighting.

There are idiots everywhere. Just like the morons who buy only Ford and piss on Chevy's. Same mentality. Complaining about it and a buck twenty can get you coffee at starbucks.
