    advantages and disadvantages.

    If you get in an "Osoto vs. Osoto" duel the guy with the longer legs and body will probably win. But being the short stalky guy will stop people from getting under you for O-Goshi or a Seo. If I fight a taller guy I tend to be more defensive and wait for something to counter. If I have the reach advantage I am more offence.

    I agree with the previous poster that ne-waza doesn't seem to make much difference.

    Uchimata and kosoto gari were my bread and butter throws in judo - I'm 6'3.

    250lbs? Can only be a plus while pinning and if they can't get a closed guard all the better.

    250lbs now, but plan to drop 25-30lbs over the next few months. I'm tired of being all soggy.
