The Jesuits perform exorcisms, right? Jesuit Self Defense could be how you become an exorcist! That would be awesome!

Anyone who wants to learn Jade Demon Mantis will have to talk to me. Well, they will in two weeks when I get my certificate.

Gene LeBell is listed as a 10th dan in "Crooked Shillelagh". I think he may have been kidding.

I actually have been wondering for a while about this organizaton for a while. I have seen that insignia on many dojos, good and bad. I think it is not a body that judges legitimacy or skill. It just is an organization dedicated to building bridges in the martial arts community. It is more like a club than a governing body.

USMAA and it's O'Sensei Phil Porter has been discussed before.

I must admit, I'm not sure where I stand on this, since a 10th dan in one own's MA is pretty much meaningless so why the heck not buy one's rank. Heck, to make money off a dude that wants to be 10th Dan in his own imaginary world is, well, a nifty trick if you can do it. One could almost say, no harm, no foul. Except that it can be used as a marketing tool to convince the unwary and gullible to spend $$$ because they think the instructor is legit according to another governing body -- that's where I feel the big problem is.

    Edit: due to small typo.
