Lets take the Bench press:
You do it with a machine you can use alot of weight
You use a barbell, you will use less weight because you will need to stabalize the bar and your stabalizer muscles are the weakest.
If you use dumbells, you will use even less weight for the same reason, but you will need to not only stablize more , but , your weight will be restricted to the amount your "weaker" arm can use. -

keinhaar hits it on the head. I like dumbs because I like to train the weakest part of the motion. The bar is lowered from a strong position, dumbs have to be lifted from a very weak point. I will only lift dumb weights that I can lift through the whole motion.
Normally, I'd say I was grappling, but I was taking down and mounting people, and JFS has kindly informed us that takedowns and being mounted are neither grappling nor anti grappling, so I'm not sure what the **** I was doing. Maybe schroedinger's sparring, where it's neither grappling nor anti-grappling until somoene observes it and collapses the waveform, and then I RNC a cat to death.----fatherdog -
